Probably the most upsetting news I've seen for a long time. Gareth was a huge influence in my theatre career. He managed The London Palladium during the eight years we produced The Sunday Night Live shows there. He supported everything we did, allowed us total autonomy to push the boundaries, howled with laughter when we flooded the Palladium stage, and gave me countless advice. Gareth moved over to Her Majesty's Theatre and was at the helm for my final show there, and continued to be the most charming, supportive, and kindest of men. I'm in shock at the suddenness of his passing, and will always cherish one of my favourite memories... sitting in dressing room A at the Palladium with Gareth, whilst Ted Rogers recalled the time he sat in the audience watching Danny Kaye at the very same theatre. Sleep tight Gareth, I'll miss you.
